Royal Family ‘stronger than ever’ after Prince Harry’s claims – YOUR VERDICT

Prince Harry’s memoir Spare became the UK’s fastest-selling non-fiction book when it was published earlier this month. The Duke of Sussex’s tell-all made a series of claims against members of the Royal Family and the British Monarchy as an institution, but a new Express.co.uk poll has shown over three-quarters of readers think more positively about the Firm.

Spare shares details of Harry’s life growing up in the Royal Family and until his decision to step back as a senior royal and relocate to the US with his wife Meghan Markle. Buckingham and Kensignton Palace have remained silent, choosing not to comment on allegations against the Monarchy.

Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital that King Charles III is hurt by the allegations which threaten to overshadow the start of his reign and upcoming coronation. She said: “He is said to be ‘extremely pained, very frustrated and anxious’ to reach a resolution with his son.”

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams claimed that the situation has not impacted public support for the Royal Family as Harry’s allegations are “nothing the institution hasn’t faced before”.

Speaking to Time earlier this month, he said: “In Britain, I think it’s part of our DNA. There is a dysfunctionality about the Monarchy, about the way the family is forced to behave, but then, on the other hand, that makes it even more fascinating.”

Meanwhile, 13 percent (1,337 people) had a more “negative” view of the Firm and 10 percent (1,026 people) felt “neutral”. A further one percent (51 people) said they did not know.
