‘Did you know to save $10k in one year, you’d need to save $27.40 per day?’ Queenie asked in her tutorial.

She broke the math down to explain that you need to save $2,500 quarterly, $833.33 monthly and $192.31 weekly.

Her first tip to make the savings is to make all of your meals at home.

The expert does this by meal prepping certain foods like overnight oats for the week ahead and making dinners from scratch.

She predicts you will save $15 per day with this tip.

She also recommended shopping around to find cheaper utility plans, which can save up to $10 per day.

Queenie advised that every little helps and cancelling unused subscriptions can save an extra $1 each day.

Her final tip was to have friends over to your home instead of going out to meet them.

She said this would save $5 per day, making a total savings of $31.

Queenie’s followers loved the tips.

‘I started automating $27.40 every day into a savings account on January first, such an easy hack and I barely notice it’s missing!’ one woman said.

The finance expert asked her fans what their own best daily saving tips are.

‘Cut out one coffee a day. That’s a $5/day saving right there,’ one man suggested.

Another person recommended cycling to work, canceling your gym membership and waiting for a better offer and renegotiating your credit card by threatening to go elsewhere.

They also recommended buying food with discount “use by” stickers on at the supermarket, shopping seasonally, only buying second hand or at minimum 30 per cent off, buying beer by the case not in a small pack or individually and paying bills on time to avoid late fees.

Other people suggested taking part in side hustles like market research groups and online surveys.

Queenie’s top tips to save money every day:

* Cook and prepare all of your meals yourself (saves $15)

* Cancel unused subscription services (saves $1)

* Shop around to lower bills (saves $10)

* Bring friends to your house rather than going out (saves $5)
