Mrs Hinch fans share easy cleaning hack for removing blood stains from sheets using a household item (and it only costs 65p!)
Social media users have raved over a cheap hack they say will help you remove tough blood stains from bedding.
A UK Facebook user turned to one of UK cleanfluencer Mrs Hinch’s fan groups to ask others to share their top tips.
Posting the in the group, the woman asked people how they remove blood stains from sheets.
Several cleaning fans took to the post to share how using a 65p household item – salt – will help get them clean again.

They revealed that dissolving a liberal amount of salt in cold water, before soaking the soiled bedding in the mixture, can help lift the pesky stains out of the sheets.
One Facebook user wrote: ‘Soak them in cold water with salt, my mum always did and it works.’
And another agreed, simply writing: ‘Soak in cold water and lots of salt.’
Others noted the importance of using cold water, as hot can ‘set’ the blood stain in fabric.
One cleaning enthusiast explained: ‘Soak in cold salty water before washing. Hot water will set the stain.’

Meanwhile, Mrs Hinch has previously revealed how you can keep your bed itself fresh and clean.
According to the cleaning influencer, it’s recommended you turn your mattress once a month and refresh it every three to six months.
She says to do this, you should completely strip your bed down, before vacuuming your mattress thoroughly to get rid of all the dead skin cells and dust.
Next, using a flour sieve, shake bicarbonate of soda evenly all over the mattress. This acts as an odour eater.
Leave for a few hours at least and then vacuum it off. This should lift out any nasty smells.
