Met Police officer charged with assaulting 14-year-old after ‘altercation’

Serving Metropolitan Police officer, PC Paul Bewsey, has been charged with common assault of a 14-year-old. The officer, from the Metropolitan Police Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command, will appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday accused of common assault on the teenager in Brentwood, Essex.

The Met Police said the charge relates to “an altercation” on April 21, in Hanging Hill Lane, Brentwood.
