Others, who she says ‘wanted to make this issue’ disappear, told her: ‘There are pills you can take. We can help you take care of this problem… I know a doctor.’

‘Everyone was certain that termination would be the best course of action,’ the mom-of-two noted.

To prevent the public from finding out, the actress said her father Jamie and mother Lynn (née Bridges) took away her phone and said she wasn’t even allowed to tell her older sibling she was expecting a baby girl.

‘I needed her more than ever and she wasn’t able to help me in my most vulnerable time,’ Jamie Lynn wrote. ‘To this day, the hurt of not being able to tell my sister myself still lingers.’

As her dad continued to push her to consider adoption, the performer remembered a heated fight that left them ‘slinging words and tossing insults’ back and forth.

While staying hidden at a remote cabin in Connecticut before the article was came out, she said her ‘Momma wore her disappointment like her favorite jacket.’

Despite her hesitancy, she said her management team forced her to do an exclusive interview with Us Weekly to break the news and share the first photos of her now-13-year-old daughter Maddie Briann Aldridge.

Jamie found out she was pregnant after wrapping her Nickelodeon series Zoe 101, but the series still had a few episodes to air, in a gas station bathroom near her family home of Kentwood, Louisiana.

‘I knew I had a lot of young girls who looked up to me and I felt that responsibility but at the end of the day I knew i would have to make a decision as a young girl myself, to do something that I could sleep with at night,’ she said during the documentary, titled When the Lights Go Out, back in 2016.

‘I knew deep down that I was going to have my little girl, even if I had to raise her on my own, which is what I did,’ she explained.

’There was so much chaos when I made my announcement, It was a real scandal situation at the time,’ she recalled.

Jamie Lynn said she hid in a house with security guards for three weeks until the Us Weekly story broke before deciding what to do next.

‘I bought some land and put a big a** gate around it. I was a child then and I needed to grow up.’

‘I knew I had a lot of young girls who looked up to me and I felt that responsibility but at the end of the day I knew i would have to make a decision as a young girl myself, to do something that I could sleep with at night,' she said during the documentary, titled When the Lights Go Out, back in 2016; seen in 2015

Jamie also noted that her little has a relationship with dad Casey Aldridge, who was her high school sweetheart.

In 2012, she told  Glamour ‘like many young girls’ she was really scared to go to the doctor to ask for birth control.

Since she ‘was on a Nickelodeon show’, she confessed it ‘felt especially embarrassing to ask.’

‘Casey tried to do the right thing and he asked me to marry him and we were engaged for a while, but I think I realized rushing into something that’s not right is ultimately going to be worse,’ she said.
