Long-time radio host and media personality Howard Stern laughed as he mocked a string of right-wing radio hosts who died of Covid after publicly stating their opposition to forced vaccine and mask mandates.

On Tuesday’s edition of Sirius XM’s The Howard Stern Show, the host took pleasure in mocking several late radio hosts with whom he disagreed, as he made the case for a mandatory vaccination program.

‘It’s really funny when these radio, the radio guys are the best, they’re like four of them died, four of them were like ranting on the air,’ he cackled.

‘They will not get vaccinated. They were they were on fire, these guys, it was like day after day, they were all dying and then their dying words are ”I wish I had been more into the vaccine. I wish I had taken it.”

Stern went on to deride Marc Bernier, a conservative radio host on Daytona Talk radio, who died on August 29 due to Covid, and played a clip of him saying he did not want to get the vaccine before continuing to disparage other commentators.

‘Where do I have that clip of that Mark, the guy who died. I got it. Here it is. This is the guy,’ said Stern.

He then remarked that there are three others, and ‘they’re on the radio preaching this shit.’

‘I’ll tell you what, far as I remember, when I went to school, you had to get a measles vaccine, you had to get a mumps vaccine, you had to get, it was a ton of them,’ Stern said.

‘When are we going to stop putting up with the idiots in this country and just say, you know, it’s mandatory to get vaccinated?’

‘Fuck them, fuck their freedom. I want my freedom to live. I want to get out of the house already. I want to go next door and play chess.

‘I want to go take some pictures.’

His comments were made in reference to two other radio presenters besides the aforementioned Marc Bernier – former Nashville radio host Phil Valentine and former Newsmax broadcaster Dick Farrell also died from Covid having been previously spoken out against the vaccines.

‘The other thing I hate is that all these people with Covid who won’t get vaccinated are in the hospitals clogging it up,’ the radio host continued.

‘So like, if you have a heart attack or any kind of problem, you can’t even get into the E.R.

‘I’m really of mind to say, ”Look, if you didn’t get vaccinated [and] you got Covid, you don’t get into a hospital.”

‘Go f— yourself. You had the cure and you wouldn’t take it.’

Stern, 67, has made a career out of his no-holds-barred, shock-jock approach to radio broadcasting.

He rocketed to fame during his tenure as the host of The Howard Stern Show at WXRK in New York City from 1985-2005, after which he continued to broadcast via Sirius XM radio from 2006.

The show gained an extreme level of notoriety for Stern’s brutally honest and often controversial stances on topics, interactions with a diverse pool of guests, and a variety of X-rated content, which marked a departure from the formulaic and inoffensive approach of many talk radio shows.

Stern resides and broadcasts from New York City, an area in which Coronavirus policies are stricter than in much of the US.

According to the NYC government website, people 12 and older and required to show proof that they have received at least one vaccine dose in order to partake in indoor activities such as at dining, fitness, and entertainment venues.

Marc Bernier

Bernier was one of the longest-running figures on Daytona talk radio.

He was hospitalized for Covid in early August, and his death was announced on August 29 by his station via social media.

Bernier had labelled himself ‘Mr. Anti-Vax’ on the air in December 2020.

News Daytona Beach said: ‘It’s with great sadness that WNDB and Southern Stone Communications announce the passing of Marc Bernier, who informed and entertained listeners on WNDB for over 30 years.’

Phil Valentine

He died in August after a month-long battle with the virus, and reportedly admitted that he wished he had taken the vaccine sooner.

In a more considered approach, Valentine previously recommended that people with underlying health conditions should get the vaccine, but claimed that low-risk people are ‘probably safer not getting it’.

WTN Radio said: ‘We are saddened to report that our host and friend Phil Valentine has passed away. Please keep the Valentine family in your thoughts and prayers.’

Dick Farrell

Florida radio host Farrell was among the harshest critics of the vaccine on the airwaves.

On July 1, Farrell claimed that two people he knew who had received the vaccine were later hospitalized

‘Vaccine Bogus Bull Shid!, Two peeps I know, got vaxxed, now have Corona, hospitalized critical. Thank you Moderna, FOR NOTHING!’

One of Farrell’s friends, Amy Leigh Hair, posted on Facebook after his death in early August that Farrell had warned her to get the vaccine after he was hospitalized.

‘Covid Took One Of My Best Friends! RIP Dick Farrel. He is the reason I took the shot! He texted me and told me to ‘Get it!’ He told me that this virus is no joke and he said: ‘I wish I had gotten it!’ she said.
