Elon Musk has revealed that Twitter has a cupboard full of “stay woke” t-shirts at it’s San Francisco headquarters. The new Twitter owner posted a video clip of the cupboard full of black and sky blue t-shirts using his own account on the social media portal.
“Found in closet at Twitter HQ fr,” the South African born billionaire wrote above the clip along with two laughing emojis.
During the 12 second video which has already been viewed over 3.6 million times in a few hours, Mr Musk can be heard speaking off camera as he inspects the t-shirts.
He said: “He we are at the merch and there is an entire closest full of # woke t-shirts.”
Another unknown and unidentified man briefly injects and says “a secret closest”.
It is estimated that less than 2,000 Twitter employees remain at the company following mass sackings by Mr Musk and last week’s mass resignation when many employees opted not to sign up for his “hardcore” work conditions.
The t-shirts could be considered a prank or parting show by ex-Twitter employees who tend to skew liberal on the American political spectrum and are supportive of the identity politics of the contemporary Democratic Party.
Despite previously voting for Barack Obama and Joe Biden, Mr Musk, a self declared libertarian, has been more supportive of Republican politics and critical of “woke” activists recently.
However, many Twitter users were supportive of Mr Musk and critical of the stance of former liberal Twitter employees.

Another user, @TimRunsHisMouth, wrote: “The social justice warriors even had their own adorable uniforms at Twitter.”
However, other Twitter users argued that the Tesla and Space X owner should sell the t-shirts.
@TimRunsHisMouth said: “Hey @elonmusk,you gonna sell those #staywoke shirts for $7.99?”
