His full season saw him bang in 24 goals in 52 games in all competitions, while he has already fired in twice from three top-flight matches this term.

The Gunners are expected to be in the market next year for a centre-forward to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Aubameyang, 32, will have just one year left on his contract in 2022, forcing Arsenal to potentially cash in on the Gabon international.

Meanwhile Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are poised to become free agents.

And according to Spanish news outlet La Colina de Nervion, Arsenal have found their perfect striker to lead the line.

They are claimed to have set their sights on Morocco international En-Nesyri.

Though it has been said they could face competition from West Ham to services his services, with the East Londoners having an offer rejected for him in January.

Meanwhile Manchester United and Liverpool have both been credited with an interest in the player following his goalscoring exploits in Spain.

And AC Milan were also linked with a move for En-Nesyri earlier this year, but the club opted to sign Olivier Giroud in the summer.

Premier League clubs could have a hard time in convincing the ex-Malaga ace to join after he revealed he rejected the chance to join Chelsea in his youth due to the cold British weather.

He told ABC Sevilla: “I went to Chelsea and stayed there for three weeks.

“It was very cold, and I went back to Morocco. I couldn’t take it anymore.

“I went back to the Mohammed VI Academy, and we played some games against Sevilla, Malaga and Almeria.

“That’s when Malaga saw me, and they decided to sign me.”
