  • They say it’s a perfect cheap alternative to Nutella

Aldi fans are raving about a super cheap chocolate hazelnut spread they are calling a ‘perfect copy’ of Nutella – but it costs less than half the price.

Australian bargain hunter and mum-of-two Rachael Hallett shared her love for Bramwells chocolate hazelnut spread after discovering it in store.

Many other mums said the $2.50 treat is a fan favourite in their house too, and some even admitted they might prefer it to the branded product.

‘Almost completely the same in flavour and passed the spoon test with flying colours.’

The 400g jar of spread costs only $2.49 in Aldi, in comparison to Nutella which is much more expensive.

A 400g jar of Nutella is currently available for $6.30 in Woolworths, and $5.70 in Coles.

Rachael’s isn’t the only family who love the budget buy.

‘I buy the Aldi brand all the time because I love Nutella and would eat it out of the jar that’s why I buy the knock off and the kid’s like it,’ another said.

‘Shhhh this is the best kept secret!! Don’t ruin it now…’ another wrote.

‘My kids prefer the Aldi one, it’s slightly easier to spread and tastes the same according to them,’ another commented.

However, some people were annoyed at the recommendation because ‘no one likes fake Nutella’.

‘Hate to say it though that while it is a very good hazelnut spread it is NOT Nutella! I love Nutella and will not substitute this,’ one woman said.
